The Academy of Music is comprised of two music schools in the North Austin area—Pfluger-Rock School of Music and Northwest School of Music. Both schools are private music instruction facilities with clean, spacious individual studios. All of our teaching studios have observation windows allowing parents to view the lesson in progress.

We have a staff of experienced and enthusiastic private instructors for guitar (acoustic and electric), piano, electric bass, drums, voice, violin, cello, flute and clarinet. Many of our teachers hold master's degrees in music. The Academy of Music currently has well over 500 students taking weekly private music lessons. We do not rent or sell instruments or sheet music but we'd love to teach you how to PLAY an instrument.

Pfluger-Rock is located at 100 West Pflugerville Parkway (formerly Pflugerville Loop) Suite 102. We’re one block east of Heatherwilde Blvd. next door to Pflugerville Animal Hospital at Wilke Ridge Lane, across the street from Hill Country Bible Church. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Fridays from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Northwest School of Music is located in northwest Austin at 8863 Anderson Mill Road, Suite 114 in front of Live Oak Elementary and Deer Park Middle School. Lesson hours are Monday-Thursday from 2:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Phone answered daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
